Adoption - the greatest sacrifice a girl can make...she lays down her life for her baby!

Adoption
("It is twice bless'd")

After the party,
After the fun,
Alone with the gift,
Where is everyone?
The music stopped.
Dance partner left.
You're young and alone
And now you're bereft.
So duty calls,
The strong on earth,
To give or keep
The gift you'll birth.
You pray for help,
Your wound is deep.
But is the gift
For you to keep?
With God's sweet grace,
I know you'll find,
He'll give you strength
To leave behind,
For a man and wife,
You'll give, don't mourn.
For the gift birthed twice
Means a family's born.

And when you're sound,
Re-make your bed
And purging-tears,
Of course, you'll shed.

But charged with light,
Your sins confessed,
Be of good cheer
For who'd of guessed?
A holy plan?
To marry another?
Give him babes,
One after the other?
A second family!
Happily addressed.
For you birthed God's gift
And "it is twice bless'd"!
