Advent & True Priesthood

THE
MULE

Purple purple
Purple pink

In evergreen
The candles sink.

Candle's age?
One thousand yeared
With four four-thousand
'Fore He appeared.

Each Sunday four

In front of Yule
When she arrived
Upon a mule.

A revolution
Round the stall
Till suddenly
On knees were all.

Like priest incensing
Hallowed altar
To bear her Son
All kneel none falter.

Firm determined
Burdened-beast
With veins of gold
Great stubborn priest!

Fides Et Forma
BOOTY
DUTY

Who dem ladies
Dressed in yellow
Standin 'neath
That pulpit's fellow –

Dancin' round
From east to west
They one up-man-ship
Eucharist
.

Did I say man?
I be a mess -
They says they each
A green-godess

And all approved
Communioned-Rome
'Cause they know how
To rock Her dome.

Them cassocked boys
They frown and glare
At them there ladies
Feets all bare.

Then bishop smacks
Upside they heads,
"You cassocked boys
Yo' time is deads.

Them yellow gals -
They sure can sell
Approved hand-baskets
Made for...
...well

...just DO like they
Is much behooved
To shake yo booty
And be approved!"

ATLANTIC
AURORA
Jewel of the west
On eastern coast
Atlantic aurora
Our Mother's boast
The proud are scattered
In conceits of their heart
Blind to Melchisedech's
Priests thou art
Jewel of the west
On eastern coast
Atlantic aurora
Our Mother's boast
A light to the Revelation
Of faithful Gentiles
Angels sing canticles
Simeon smiles
Jewel of the west
On eastern coast
Atlantic aurora
Our Mother's boast
Root of Jesse
Gate of morn
Unworldly womb
The skulkers scorn
Jewel of the west
On eastern coast
Atlantic aurora
Our Mother's boast
And we your daughters
Comely and fair
Are a terrible army
Birthing His heir
Jewel of the west
On eastern coast
Atlantic aurora
Our Mother's boast
For our sons' inheritance
Roman men toil
A Cathedral of cassocks
The Catholic priesthood all Royal!

Roman Catholics

IS
NOW...
We have a Home
With a weak-willed Father
When his friends come to booze
They pay us no bother -
Took Mother and siblings
So they'd not start roaming
Out on the streets
From sun-rise till eve's gloaming -
An attached cottage to Home
On Chapel Street
Safe and warm from the world
Bread from shepherds we eat -
We pray for our Father
That he'll make an amend -
So together at Home
"...shall be, world without end."

REAL Nuns!!

WDTPRS
Blog
A
NUN

Cognizant of...
The educated
I've seen how many
Do end...

Where marriage vows
Are lopped, truncated,
Though thesis
They'll defend.

For degrees and grants
Student-sycophants
Research
Until their dead...

But intelligent man
Trusting in God's plan,
Bequeath opuses beyond
Death's bed.

I enjoyed this story in the Baltimore Sun:
Archdiocese of Baltimore welcomes new order of nuns
All Saints’ Sisters of the Poor left the Episcopal Church two years ago
The Archdiocese of Baltimore added a new religious order of nuns Tuesday, its first in decades and one that began as an Anglican community.
The All Saints’ Sisters of the Poor left the Episcopal Church for the Roman Catholic Church two years ago. By a decree from the Vatican, they are now an official diocesan priory, or order, the same designation carried by the School Sisters of Notre Dame or the Daughters of Charity.
“We feel we have broken ground,” said Mother Christina Christie, leader of the community and a nun since 1966.
Yesterday, All Saints’ Day, at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, all 10 members of the Catonsville convent individually professed perpetual vows of poverty, chastity and obedience “for the rest of my life in this world.” Then each signed her profession at the altar before nearly two dozen priests and bishops.
Archbishop Edwin F. O’Brien chose Nov. 1, the sisters’ patronal feast day, to officially receive the community into the archdiocese.
“This is a great day and a great gift to the church in Baltimore,” O’Brien said to the congregation. “Few bishops have had such an opportunity.”

STARKENBURG, MO Pilgrimage 2011

MISSOURI

BOTTOMS

Near the hamlet of

 Rhineland

Where the big Missouri

Flows

At the Shrine

Of Starkenburg

Our Lady felt

The blows

They didn’t come

From infidels

Or atheistic

Goals

But screeching

Harpy-hags

With Christian baptized

Souls

Big-bottomed

Jean-clad gals

They tried to stop

The priests

I heard one on

Her cell phone shout

“They trampled

Me like beasts!”

And then a haughty-hag

She howled,

“You’re dressed

Pathetic!”

“What?”  Said I

“I’m the mother of ten

A traditional trend-setting

Aesthetic!”

“Ten kids and

Traditional Catholic!”

Her face turned red

Then mean

“Not only do you

Despoil goddess-earth

You haven’t the

Grace to go green!”

She shot a call

To the Sheriff

But she didn’t shout

The Deputy down

The Deputy, I heard,

Was at a concert

Eric Clapton

Was playing in town

And during

The Mass

The State Patrol

Came...

And the

County Sheriff

He did

The same...

And after Mass

We left the Shrine

Quietly smiling

In prayer

The policemen with

Their mouths wide opened

Politely they

Did stare

And as we were leaving

The big-bottomed gals

They railed and they

Did shout

“Get out of here, get your own

Stinkin’  Shrine

Real Catholics we’ll

Keep out!”

So if you’re ever near

Rhineland

Where the big Missouri

Flows

Be sure to visit Starkenburg

At the Shrine

Of Our Lady of

Sorrows

But dress like you’re

A Muslim

Or Hindu in

Silk greens

For the Shrine is guarded

To keep Catholics out

By big-bottomed gals

In jeans!

gospel according to MILAN

H/T to Rorate Coeli Blog
The production of the new Evangeliarium was initiated last year by Cardinal Tettamanzi and the Archdiocese of Milan has a new website dedicated to this new Gospel Book and its art (with images even worse than the ones featured above. See, for instance, the illustration for the 'Mass of the Day' of Easter Sunday and the one for the Solemnity of Christ the King).

"...Archdiocese of Milan has a new website dedicated to this new Gospel Book"
Milan
OF
the
World

The sun she's white
Man-moon a fella' frail -
In the caves of credo
We await the scale

To be tipped towards Truth
Spilling vinegar or wine -
Vinegar and gall
Or wine sanguine

We await his voice
Beneath eternal Rome -
To declare Truth not choice
In our deep catacomb

Keep all aboard
As our Captain Peter -
Upon this Rock
Don't let us teeter

Crash all the seas
Through wind and hail
Sink new gospel books like -
Milan's fairy-tale

The sun she's white
Man-moon a frail fella' -
But Truth stays the course
Towards Maria Stella!

ALL SOULS' DAY 2011

YES,
I KNOW
NOVEMBER

Yes, I know November
The tolling of the bell,
The whispers of the suf’ring souls
From mountain top to dell.

The chilly, gray, damp mornings
The rusting of the leaves,
The whispers of the suf'ring souls
Like moans from one who grieves.

And in the windy noon-time
When clouds fight 'gainst sun's might,
The whispers of the suf'ring souls
Cry, "Sanctuary light!"

So 'fore the red-glassed candle,
Compelled, I go to pray,
The whispers of the suf'ring souls
Plead, "Sacrifice today!"

Now, deep, dark sanctuary
Is lit by candle, bold,
The whispers of the suf'ring souls...
"Your prayers are autumn gold!"

So like the leaves of autumn
I fall to kneeling posture,
The whispers of the suf'ring soulsBeg,
"Say a Pater Noster!"

The flicker in the red glass
Burns hotter, now, with Creed.
Oh, yes, I know November!
The month of Hope...souls freed!
