Dear Hilary, I am "Crusader"'s mother and I am about halfway through your book. I would have been done with it far more quickly if not for the (most unfortunate) fact that I must work to support my family. I must admit there is an overabundance of bathroom humor, but as a nurse who works with children, I'm used to farts, poopy pants, etc., so it doesn't faze me. Actually, I just looked and I'm about 4/5ths of the way through the book. It's very funny and has provided some relief from my concerns about my job, family members I'm worried about, etc. It was funny how Maureen and sibs had enjoyed driving past the slaughterhouse and riding behind the mosquito spray trucks (autobiographical?) I also especially liked the emergency room scene. Take care.
