SPRINGING
FORTH
VIRGINS

Mystic crucifixion
Religious vows, three,
Poverty, obedience
And chastity.
Poverty nails
Our hands to the cross,
Like His, seemingly useless,
Souls redeemed, Satan’s loss.
And to the cross
Obedience nails feet
Like His, transfixed
Countless sinners, confessed, greet.
Chastity pierces
Our heart with a lance
His lifeless heart opened
Self-restraint…souls advance.
Cheerfully, freely,
His Blood ruby, sacrifice!
