My throat it hurts

My head it pounds

I've got a rash

I shake at sounds.

Blood pressure's high

My knees go weak

A fevered brow

My joints they creak.

"Oh, doctor, please

From my description --

Can you just write

A nice prescription?"

"For heaven's sake,"

I heard him sigh,

"When school gets out

You mothers try...

To get from me

A soothing balm

To dull your pains

Or make you calm.

It's just a reaction,

I know it's a bummer,

You're merely allergic

To kids home for summer."

I leap with joy

Like a ballet dancer

School is out

I've kids, not cancer!
