SSPX School in Rugby Midwest Championship

COME RUCK
COME RACK

In this month of May
Roars not meant to harry,
Roars will be their prayers
To honor Virgin Mary.

Will be the “Clash of Titans”
No time, no more rehearsal --
Mexican, Irish, Asians,
Catholics, universal.

Flesh against the bone
They’ll ruck and they’ll be hooked
Many different schools
No fear or sadness brooked.

In this month of May
To Indy and then back
The Lions roar their prayers
Endure…come ruck, come rack!!!

Let it be boldly proclaimed to the four corners, to Friend & Foe alike . . .

The LIONS are ready for battle!!

Please join us in praying to the Queen of victories for our habitual three pre-game intentions:

1) To play with Honor

2) No serious injuries

3) Victory

Go LaSalette Lions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Low Sunday

LO
SUNDAY

“It is written, man cannot live by bread only,” (Matthew 4:4)

If I give bread alone
Then man is no more than a dog
Might as well be the first to come
To My banquet out of the fog.

If I give bread alone
Man’s want, only to relieve,
Then I am only a baker
Filling bellies, not souls to believe.

If I give bread alone
Being social reforming reform
Then I am not the Redeemer
Come to save souls through Me and conform.

If I give bread alone
Bring outer abundance instead
Only a cheap leader of people
Leaving their inner holiness dead.

You would have Me begin with security
Yes, bread, there always must be,
Lo, bread gets its power to nourish
“Not by bread alone.” but from Me.

Sub-Deaconate SSPX 2014

THE
STORM

Clouds positioned
Purpled
Towards the Church
They raced

Inside
Purple drapings
O’er the statues
Graced

Each man with
His candle
Prepared his vow
To make

When suddenly
Ferocious winds
Upon the roof
Did break

The shrieking gale
The pounding rains
Lightning struck
The ground

Splitting trees
Thunder torn
But inside
Peace abound

Laying down
Their lives like Christ
Prostrate
On the floor

The tempest hammered
Bruised and beat
Thrashing ‘gainst
Church door

And then each man
Took his stand
His fiat
Loud and firm

The roaring stopped
The moaning dropped
The storm did take
A turn

For these are men
Not against –
But soaring high
Above

And even nature
Silents herself…
Before man
New in Christ’s love

Presentation in the Temple

THE
DIVINE
DISTURBER

“And so the thoughts of many hearts shall be made manifest.” (Luke 2:35)

She would never again
Lift the Child’s hands
Without seeing a shadow
Of nails.

Provoking hearts
To evil or good
The Divine Disturber
Entails.

The sun shines on
Wax and softens,
On mud, cracks,
Becomes hard.

“And so the thoughts
Of many hearts…”
Reflect the Light of the World
Or become charred.

THE
ONYX
STONE

"and the gold of that land is good: there is … the onyx stone.” (Genesis 2:12)

Semi-precious Priest
Of stone
Jet-black onyx
Skin on bone.

Somber strength
The Mass, the tone,
Your sacrifice
Our souls we hone.

A pitch-dark deep
All Souls Mass said
Your very first
To free the dead.

“Gold of that land”
Kenya’s own --
Melchisedech’s new
Onyx stone!

Eye of the TIBRE!!!

THE
DEACON’S
ROAR

I used to bite my tongue and hold my breath
Scared to rock the Barque and make a mess
So I sat quietly, obeyed politely
Ignored what learned in Baltimore
Forgot the Church that’s marked by Four
I stood for nothing, so I fell for everything

You made me sit, but I knelt down
Dusty sandals brushed on ground
You hear my voice, you hear that sound
Roaring Rosaries all around
You made me sit, but I knelt down
Get ready ‘cause I’ve had enough
I see it all, I see it now

We’ve caught the eye of the Tibre, we’re fighters, dancing through the fire
‘Cause we are Catholic and we’re gonna say our “Roar” sries
Louder,louder than the lion
‘Cause we are Catholic and they’re gonna hear us roar

Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
They’re gonna hear us roar

Blogs are flyin’ like a butterfly
Stinging like a bee for Truth we’ll die
They call you zero, but you’re a hero

They made you stop, but you kneel down
Dusty sandals brushed on ground
They hear your voice, they hate that sound
Like lightening gonna strike Hell’s hound
They made you stop, but you kneel down
Get ready ‘cause I’ve had enough
I see it all, I see it now

We’ve caught the eye of the Tibre, we’re fighters, dancing through the fire
‘Cause we are Catholic and we’re gonna say our “Roar” sries
Louder, louder than the lion
‘Cause we are Catholic and they’re gonna hear us roar

Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
Oh oh oh oh oh oh
They’re gonna hear us roar…

Ro-oar, ro-ar, ro-ar, ro-ar, “Roar”sries!!!

with apologies to Katy Perry’s, ROAR

Fisher-More

MORE
ASH
WEDNESDAYS

In the graveyard
Litter tosses
Winds blow o’er
Frozen mosses

Hard cold ground
Ashen gray
Stands a soul
This March Wednesday

Stands before
A tombstone, prays
On the grave
Some roses, lays

Her greatest gift
A rose from God
Marking prayers
Upon this sod

Graveyard keeper’s
Shadowy cloud
Picks up rose
“It’s not allowed.”

In the graveyard
Winds blow dust
From keeper’s pocket
Drops some crust.
